Kory Brooks Ms. Kari Brooks - 3rd
This will be my third year teaching at Hayes Elementary. I attended Valdosta State University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. When I graduated college, I stayed in south Georgia and worked as an in-home family counselor with “at risk” children. The kids I worked with were at risk to be removed from their home because of behavioral problems and/or criminal problems. After moving back to Cobb, I continued my education and just completed my Master's Degree in Special Education. I have been married to my wonderful husband for four years. We live for SEC football every season. However, my husband is a University of Georgia fan and I am a Tennessee Volunteers fan! He does cheer for my team ~ until they play each other! We are expecting our first child in February and we could not be happier. We do have an eight-year-old black lab ( Dixie ) and she is excited too.
