I have been teaching kindergarten here at Hayes Elementary for the last four years. I was the Quarterly Training Representative for Kindergarten for two years and I won a language arts grant for the K grade level in 2007. I was a part of the first "Positive Discipline Cohort" class here at Hayes last spring. It is a program to build a community of learners within your classroom. This year I will be joining the Hayes Second Grade Team. I taught second grade in the mid-90's when my husband, James, and I lived in North Augusta, SC. We both grew up in Missouri and I earned my Master's in Education at the University of Missouri. We have one daughter, Ann, who is in the 5th grade here at Hayes this year. I enjoy reading, puzzles, history, scrapbooking, and counted cross-stich.
