Beverly Belyeu Ms. Beverly Belyeu , Kindergarten
I have been teaching kindergarten for six years at Hayes Elementary and taught one year at East Valley which is another Cobb County School. I earned my Elementary Education degree from Central State University in Oklahoma in 1974. I received an ELL endorsement in 2004. I taught first grade in Oklahoma for 11 years. I am married and have three grown children. I love to read and spend time with my family.

Lindsay Corris Ms. Lindsay Corris - Kindergarten
I grew up in Connecticut and moved to Georgia in 2003. I have been teaching in Cobb county for 6 years as a kindergarten teacher. I was at Green Acres Elementary for 5 years and joined the Hayes staff last year. I have earned my Master's in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University and am currently working on my specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I was teacher of the year during the 2007-2008 school year. I enjoy traveling, reading and music.
Susan Croft Ms. Susan Croft - Kindergarten
I was born and raised in Smyrna, Georgia and graduated from Wills High School in 1980. After graduation, I attended Shorter College for two years and then completed my education at Georgia Southern University in 1984. My first teaching job was at Covenant Christian School in Smyrna and then taught for ten years at Hollydale Elementary School. I had the pleasure of opening up Hayes Elementary School and still enjoy teaching there today. I met my husband Joe while attending Shorter and we have two wonderful children. Our daughter Rebecca will complete her nursing gegree this December and our son Tanner is beginning his sophomore year at Georgia State University.
Martha Cruse

Ms. Martha Cruse - Kindergarten Paraprofessional (Belyeu)
I am starting my eleventh year here at Hayes as a Para Pro in Kindergarten. I have an Associate Degree from Kennesaw State University. I am married and have a son who will be a sophomore at Kennesaw University this fall. I enjoy music, sewing and crafts.


Lori Day Ms. Lori Day - Kindergarten
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Speech Pathology. I've been teaching in Cobb County for eleven years. I've taught EIP, second grade, first/second grade split, and most recently kindergarten.

I've been teaching at Hayes for seven years. The last six have been in a kindergarten classroom. I am most fortunate to co-teach with Denise Morgan. This will be our third year teaching together. Our students benefit from the positive and rewarding experience they get from having two teachers that care about them and what they are able to achieve. Both of my children attended Hayes and loved it. My daughter is a sophomore in college. She enjoys returning to Hayes during her school breaks to volunteer in our classroom. My son is a senior at KMHS and is in the ROTC program. My husband (Captain Jack the pirate) has been known to come in his pirate attire and read a special pirates tale to the kindergarten classes!
Maureon Evans Ms. Maureen Evans - Kindergarten Paraprofessional (Tekin)
Born and raised in Smyrna, Georgia, I have been at Hayes since the doors opened in 1993. I've been with Cobb County for 19 years. 14 of those years I've been in Kindergarten. I have been married to my husband Randy for 27 wonderful years. We have 2 beautiful daughters. Miranda is 24 and Olivia is 21. I have 2 dogs named Max & Molly (Chihuahuas) and a cat named Shelby. In my spare time I like to read, scrapbook and camp. I just bought a motor home and can't wait to use it!
Jennifer Harkins Ms. Jennifer Harkins - Kindergarten
I have taught at Hayes for five years and have been with Cobb County Board of Education for seven years. I have my Early Childhood Education degree from Kennesaw State University. I have taught 5th grade for 3 years, 1st grade for 1 year, and Early Intervention Program K-5 for 2 years, and this is my first year as a Kindergarten teacher. I am very excited!
Ms. Alicia Harris

I have been teaching first grade for eight years and earned my Master's in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991. I won the Kohl-McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Award in 1998, earned the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in 1999. I am married and has several pets. My cat's name is Jordy, my dog's name is Coco and my rabbit's name is M.J. I enjoy hiking and traveling.

Ms. Pat Heaton

Ms. Pat Heaton - Kindergarten Paraprofessional (Harkins)
I started at Hayes in the first few months of 1995. I worked in the lunch room for a few years and then went on to being a kindergarten parapro. This year is my 12th year being a parapro.

Ms. Shannon Larosa Ms. Shannon Larosa - Kindergarten Paraprofessional (Day/Morgan)
I grew up in Alabama and have lived in Georgia since 2006. I worked as a parapro in the Media Center here at Hayes for 3 years before joining the Kindergarten team this year. I absolutely love being in the classroom! In fact, I love it so much that I want to pursue a career in teaching. I have a degree in Fashion Retailing from the University of Alabama and I am a HUGE Bama fan. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years and we are hoping to start a family soon. For fun, I love scrapbooking, cooking, and being outdoors.
Denise Morgan Ms. Denise Morgan - Kindergarten
This is my fifth year at Hayes, but my eleventh year teaching. This is my third year co-teaching kindergarten with Lori Day. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Miami University and my Masters Degree from Kennesaw State. I am married and have a wonderful four year old son and two year old daughter.
Bethany Nash Ms. Bethany Nash - Kindergarten
This will be my sixth year teaching Kindergarten in Cobb County. I have a BA from the University of Michigan in Elementary Education and completed the Reading Endorsement Program here in Georgia at Kennesaw University. I am married and my husband and I have 2 children. We love dogs and have a 12 year old black lab. I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends.
Tonya Tekin Ms. Tonya Tekin - Kindergarten
I have been teaching at Hayes for five years. I earned my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and I am currently working on my Masters in Child Psychology. I am engaged and will be married in November. I have three wonderful dogs and one cat. I enjoy working out, spending time on the beach and watching football! Go Miami Hurricanes and Dolphins!
Tracy Young Ms. Tracy Young - Kindergarten
I have been teaching for 15 years. I have taught at Hayes for 6 years, having taught 3rd-5th multiage for 4 years prior to having my son and Kindergarten for the past 2 years. I taught Kindergarten & 1st grade in Rockdale County for 9 years. I graduated from The University of Georgia in 1987 with a BSEd and in 1989 with a MEd. I have been married to Rick for 13 years. We have a wonderful son, Jack, who will be a 3rd grader at Hayes and a chocolate lab, Wrigley. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing tennis, scrapbooking, sewing and reading.
