Ms. Teressa Watson - Principal-Intermediate
Teressa R. Watson graduated from the University of Rochester in 1991
where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. That following year,
she earned a Master of Science Degree in Education from the same
institution. Since then, Mrs. Watson has gone on to earn a certificate
in Educational Leadership and will soon complete the dissertation for
the final phase of her doctoral program. Mrs. Watson has been happily
married for 15 years and is the mother of two sons.

In Teressa R. Watson’s 17 years of professional experience, she has
developed a varied and extensive background in education, having gained
experience at every educational level – elementary, middle, high school,
G.E.D. Prep / Adult Ed., and at the college level. As a teacher, she
taught at a National School of Excellence; she was awarded the Unsung
Hero Award and has authored numerous grants, but her real passion lies
with students, teachers and learning.

Mrs. Watson has adopted an educational philosophy that embraces all
kinds of learners. She understands that many of us may have stumbling
blocks in life as well as with learning. With that in mind, she has
adopted the motto to keep “Lifting as She Climbs.” She intends to
positively impact the lives of children through the field of education
and to leave this world in better shape than how she found it. That is
her mission.
